Pharma MES Berlin 2025

Pharma MES Berlin: The 5 Events We Can’t Wait For

Maximize Your Time at Pharma MES Berlin: Sessions and Networking to Track

Every September, Pharma MES Berlin brings the pharma and biotech community together to spark bold ideas and address the industry’s most significant opportunities. This year Pharma MES Berlin 2025 is especially exciting for us at POMS, because we’ll be connecting with leaders who are asking the same critical questions we hear every day:

How can MES accelerate digital transformation? What does a structured, compliant vendor selection process look like? And what are the best paths toward a paperless, smart plant?

Here are five highlights we’re most excited about in Berlin and where you’ll find us in the middle of the action.

1. Sunday Icebreaker

We love starting strong, and the Sunday Icebreaker (September 21, 8:00 pm, Dorotheensaal/Saal 3, Maritim Hotel) sets the perfect tone. Beers, appetizers, and open roundtables with no formalities and no slides, just conversations. We’ll be there to swap stories, hear what’s top of mind for you, and make sure Monday morning already feels like catching up with colleagues.

2. Digital Transformation in Pharma

We’re especially looking forward to the sessions on batch release, deviation handling, and data integrity. Why? Because we see these challenges from clients week after week. We’re ready to compare notes on how teams are turning their MES system into a driver of digital transformation for long-term success.

3. Vendor Selection Without the Headaches

Choosing an MES vendor can feel like speed dating with a stack of feature checklists. That’s why we’re eager for the sessions on structured, compliant frameworks for vendor selection. We’ve helped clients wrestle through these decisions, and we know how valuable it is to hear what evaluation and scoring looks like in practice.

4. Going Paperless & Building Smart Plants

Paper-heavy systems are slowing pharma down. We’re excited for sessions tackling recipe management, validation readiness, and exception traceability, covering all the nuts and bolts of moving from paper-first to digital-first. And yes, we’ll be taking notes on how to avoid classic pitfalls like scope creep or under-resourced validation, lessons we know all too well.

5. Challenge Your Peers Roundtables

Peer-to-peer learning takes center stage on Day 2 with Challenge Your Peers Roundtables. Eight rotating discussions, small groups, big insights. We’ll be jumping into topics exploring rollout models to URS templates to validation trade-offs. If you see us scribbling down notes like crazy, it’s because we know these conversations often spark the best take-home strategies.

Our tips to make the most of these roundtables:

  • Arrive with two pressing questions you need answered this quarter.
  • Listen for constraints and trade-offs, including what others did, why they did it that way, and what they would change next time.
  • Collect reusable artifacts such as URS templates, validation plans, or rollout playbooks. These resources can save months of rework.
  • Follow up quickly. Do not wait until you are back home to connect with the people who have the answers you need.

Bonus: Bits, Bites, and Bubbles (Hosted by POMS)

On Monday night, Sept 22, 8:00 pm at Deep Event location (Bötzow Brewery site), we’re hosting a relaxed networking dinner. Think of it as the perfect reset button after a packed day: good food, good drinks, and good conversation. Bring your stories, your challenges, and your curiosity. We’ll bring the bubbles.
