Wellcome Italia
Glaxo Wellcome Italia has been successfully using Honeywell's POMS Manufactuirng
Execution System (MES) to manage the processes in their granulation facility
in Verona, for their Cefuroxime Axetil family of oral antibiotic products.
With the many technological advances that had been made in Honeywell's POMS
MES products and the publication of the FDA guidelines for electronic signature
(21 CFR part 11), a decision was made to upgrade the system to the latest
version of POMS MES.

Boehringer Ingelheim ranks
among the top 20 pharmaceutical companies in the world. POMS MES
has been installed in the Central Weighing at their Sant
Cugat plant near Barcelona, as the first step to a complete
electronic batch record for all the production processes.

Boehringer Ingelheim Italia Spa is establishing itself
as the international centre of excellence within Boehringer
Ingelheim KG for a range of liquids and suppositories. POMS MES,
integrated with iFIX™, part of the Intellution Dynamics™ product
family, provides the electronic management of the batches,
resources, materials and equipment, and ensures that all
instructions take place in accordance with specifications.

IBA
(Ion Beam Applications)
Needing a system that would enable it to validate its
operations in response to customer and regulatory requirements,
IBA was able to deploy the Honeywell POMS MES solution,
running on Microsoft servers, for half the cost of running
and supporting its old home-grown solution. By doing so,
IBA gained an MES that enables it to respond to customers
quickly and accurately. It also gained a solution that
helps it comply with Code of Federal Requirements guidelines.

Tnuva
Dairies, Israel
Tnuva is Israel's largest manufacturer and distributor
of food products. In 2000, the company announced the signing
of a near $2 million agreement to implement POMS MES
across all of Tnuva's dairy operations - a decision based
on the successful implementation at the Haifa facility
and the long-term benefits already reaped. The project
is part of an overall reengineering project that will include
the building of a brand new POMS-equipped dairy
facility from the ground up.
